It was an honor to design and paint this mural of our future President and Vice President with my friend Denese Sanders at the Democratic Headquarters in Seaside, California. It was a bit of a surreal experience - the sky was yellow and ash rained down on us from the nearby fires. I joked that we were like the band on the Titanic. But I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. It's wonderful to paint something that elicits feelings of hope, and the outpouring of community support made me realize that I'm not alone. I encourage all artists to put your paintbrush where your vote is and create artwork to inspire your community to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris this November.
