I love getting the chance to paint with a live model. Here's a two hour figure painting I made at the Fab Friday event at Faust Salon & Spa (Downtown Santa Cruz) in Santa Cruz. The model is Alex Santana Jr. I started out by roughly sketching in the shapes, then I blocked in the colors, and finished up with adding as much detail as time allowed. The painting was raffled at the event and all proceeds went to the Pajaro Valley Pride scholarship fund. I had a blast!
