Here's a timelapse video showing some of the process involved with creating my figurative oil painting Holding On.
The piece was inspired by a selfie posted by artist Armando Bravo to Instagram. I wrote and asked him if I could use it as a reference image for a painting because I thought it was very evocative, and he said sure! This video takes you from start to finish so you can get a glimpse into my process. I work in an expressionistic style, applying layers of thick paint to create some textural chaos on the canvas as a foundation for the portrait.
Limited edition prints of Holding On are available here.
Special thanks to Armando Bravo. Check out his work here.

I already commented on your work I think you are very talented.
I do watercolor paintings and I have recently started doing glass art.
I was wondering if you could coach me on how to get started with making a page to sell my work
I would love to share my work with you
Beautiful energy, Paul. Always enjoy watching you paint.
