I began having fantasies about men as a fourth grader. The object of my early desires, as depicted in the painting Rocket Boy, was the cartoon character Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. This piece expresses the explosion of discovery, fantasy and desire that marked my first, naive steps into sexual expression.
