ABOUT THE PAINTING
“War Paint” is about the resilience and courage of drag artists. Despite the relentless, calculated political attacks against them, drag performers continue to show up and lift up our queer community. I created this piece to be auctioned at the 2023 Outright International Celebration of Courage Awards in NYC on June 5, 2023. Outright International works to strengthen the capacity of the LGBTIQ movement around the globe.
